About Me

My name is Marek and I live in the Netherlands.

I'm a software engineer with a focus on Python, API development, and cloud fundamentals, supported by a strong foundation in security and risk-aware system design. Before moving into engineering, I spent more than a decade working in international business development and risk management — experience that still shapes how I approach architecture, reliability, and real-world constraints.

I work daily with Python, Linux, and Azure, building clean, maintainable backend systems with an emphasis on clarity, automation, and long-term scalability. My current areas of growth include API-driven architectures, containerization with Docker, and modern DevOps practices.

I hold the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification, and I’m continuing to strengthen my cloud knowledge through structured learning in areas such as identity, security principles, and cloud governance. My background in KYC/AML and my ICA Certificate in Anti Money Laundering give me an additional layer of context for systems that operate in compliance-sensitive environments.

I also have a multilingual background — I speak seven languages — which has helped me work effectively across international teams and understand how technology, communication, and business needs connect in global environments.

I enjoy roles that sit at the intersection of engineering and business, where technical solutions must align with risk, clarity, and practical constraints. I approach my work with a mindset shaped by both software engineering and real-world operational experience.

NubeCode is my space to explore, learn, and build — turning ideas into well-designed, useful software with a global perspective.
